Reviews
One of the few authentic ramen shops near me. Near is very relative here. Solid ramen offerings at a reasonable price. There are quite a few add-ons, but only one worth it is the egg. Everything else is a bit over-priced. They have specials like tan tan men, which is ok, nothing that noteworthy. It is a nice change of pace. Good serving size, if im famished ill get some extra noodles. The ramen is sometimes criticized as very salty. I think those people forget that the style is shio ramen, which literally means salt. Food is served fast. Not that much seating though, largest table can barely fit 5. Place is pretty bare bones, which is fine since the food is good. Very important: you won't get seated unless your entire party is there.
The ramen was hot and tasty. Gyoza good, too. I was very impressed the ramen soup. It was chanpon ramen, it had a lot of fresh sea food. Very healthy ramen. I had a good dinner there
Look am never to write a review but today I had too!! I been to this place many many time never no issue, but today they really showed their true color. So one thing I never no do is leave no tip, today it was different i didn’t feel like leaving tip The owner asked me if everything was OK. I said it’s yea but I like to be left alone to eat my lunch because I don’t want to engage in a conversation to why I didn’t leave tip. But she insisted to keep asking why not tip I said because I don’t want to leave a tip I said is that mandatory she said no but this is America. I said exactly why I don’t have to leave a tip and why you shouldn’t engage me why I’m not leaving a tip in a very hostile manner. Am not talking about feeling threatened physically by no mean more so in a unwelcoming way inhospitable way. So comes this Spanish Pillsbury doughboy sister comes out and said we like for you to leave and we won’t server you no more !! I said why because I won’t leave no tip!! She had no answer she reverted to saying “no problem” over and over until I dropped my luck and left but I will say one thing I AM NEVR GOING BACK AGAING THEY LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER!! HONESTLY !!
The noodles were perfect texture and consistency. However, the soup was not good at all. Bakudan Ramen was supposed to be spicy but it was not spicy and very watered down. The stamina ramen was very very salty leaving my mouth dry as a desert. We waited 30+ minutes for our ramen. Limited cramped parking and towing signs everywhere. There was 1 hr street parking if you're lucky to find a spot. The place was pretty small but they did have good service. Overall, cons just outweigh the pros. Would not recommend and would never come again.
Absolutely wonderful. We came in at the tail end of their lunch hours. One of us got the Tonshio with an egg, and the other got the vegetarian miso omori with an egg. Service was great and polite, the broths were excellent, the noodles and fixings were perfect, and we left satisfied but not overly stuffed. Highly recommend!
I always have a delicious experience here. The ramen is the best I have found on the east coast so far. The noodles are yummy and the broth is flavorful Ren's is a small mom and pop kinda place and they won't seat you till all your party is present. They have some great specials so check out the special menu on the board, special drinks, toppings and ramen. Can't go wrong with this place!
One of my go-to ramen spots in MoCo. Most of their ramens from this place is pretty good, but my favorite is shoyu ramen. I also tried their stamina, spicy miso, and chanpon ramens and they are delicious. I noticed that sometimes the food is a bit saltier than normal, but usually they are okay. Parking is terrible here tho and the place is in a sketchy neighborhood, so careful where you park here. The last time I visited this place, they only accept cash. It might have been changed recently, but always double check. Service can be hit or miss. Depends on who works there, the service can be attentive or lazy. Overall, it’s worth to try this place!
Absolutely the best Ramen I’ve had in my life, it’s even better than the Ramen I had at Shinjuku station in Japan.
I believe the family that Rens is from Sapporo, I can’t compare their Ramen to any in Sapporo as I’ve not been able to visit there yet, but I’d imagine this is just as good as any other Ramen you’d get out there.
The only issue is the location, as the parking can definitely be hit-or-miss and the shopping complex is quite congested - but none of that matters when you sit down and enjoy one of their bowls of Ramen
My go-to favorite is the Stamina, I’d highly recommend it
